PROVIDING RESIDENTS WITH WATER SUPPLY

Partners/participants/donors: International Committee of the Red Cross.
Goal: Provision of water supply to residents of the Cheremushky neighbourhood in Popasna by installing two water towers.
What has been done: Two water towers were installed in Popasna. The towers provided four thousand residents of the Cheremushki neighbourhood with uninterrupted water supply. The towers had a total capacity of 320 cubic metres and were located on the territory of «Hidrovusol» pumping station.

RECONSTRUCTION OF OUTDOOR LIGHTING

Partners/participants/donors: UNITED NATIONS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME
Goal: provide outdoor lighting for Parkova, Tsiolkovsky and Sonyachna streets by installing modern energy-saving equipment. Improve the level of public safety and social conditions of citizens.
What has been done: the outdoor lighting was reconstructedk: underground power lines were laid, new metal supports were installed, and wires or cables were connected to the clamps.

OVERHAUL OF THE ASPHALT PAVEMENT

Partners/participants/donors: funds from the State Regional Development Fund
Goal: Improving the operational condition and transport links to infrastructure facilities
What has been done: Overhaul of the asphalt concrete road surface in Popasna

Мета: Покращення якості надання адміністративних послуг у м.Попасна.
Що було зроблено: Проведено реконструкцію приміщення центру надання адміністративних послуг, придбано обладнання та меблі.

Інклюзивний проєкт з усунення бар’єрів для людей з інвалідністю

Партнери/учасники/донори: Данська Рада у справах біженців – Данська Група з розмінування (DRC – DDG) за підтримки Дитячого Фонду ООН (ЮНІСЕФ)
Мета: Усунути бар’єри для людей з інвалідністю та створити сприятливе середовище в громаді.
Що було зроблено: Були придбані велосипеди для зменшення витрат часу на дорогу та збільшення часу перебування соціального робітника у громадянина.

IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES

Partners/participants/donors: the project was implemented with the financial support of the UN Recovery and Peacebuilding Programme.
Goal: improving quality of administrative services in the Popasna community by providing services directly in the village and urban-type settlements.
What has been done: the administrative services department received a mobile centre for the provision of administrative services. Thanks to the mobile office, residents of the community’s settlements received access to quality administrative services directly in the village and urban-type settlements.

VETERANS ARE BUILDING

Partners/participants/donors: the cost of materials totalling 150 thousand UAH was paid for by the UN Recovery and Peacebuilding Programme. Under support of the Lithuanian Republic Programme Development Cooperation received funding for transportation, meals for participants and a cultural and educational programme in the amount of €6000.00. Also, 60 thousand UAH were raised through charitable contributions from people all over Ukraine to concrete and prepare the surface where the skateboard will be installed.
Goal: to initiate a dialogue between the military and local residents, to increase trust in Popasna towards all ATO/JFO veterans. And also to create a common space for communication and spending time together.
What has been done: a skateboarding area of about 200 square metres was built.

OVERHAUL OF THE COMPREHENSIVE REHABILITATION CENTER «LELEKA»

Partners/participants/donors: the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in cooperation with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) with funding from the European Union.
Goal: improving the quality of service delivery at the Popasna comprehensive rehabilitation centre «Leleka».
What has been done: the premises were overhauled and technical equipment was purchased for the rehabilitation centre for children with disabilities.
